freewheeling:

  • play diatonically and avoid leaps
  • step aside in case of dissonance (vgl. side-stepping jazz)
  • give way to LH accompaniment arpeggiato: -

flags/ornaments: flashing (repeating the tone) is easier than flagging

acciaccaturas: leidtonen voor een akkoordtoon

bridges: verbinden van akkoordtonen (gap-fill), kan getweakt worden naar melodie of polyfonie

distribution: sustaining arpeggiated tones to create polyphony and generate suspensions
